In about two weeks time, Youth Programs at the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts raised more than $1,000 in its annual gift wrapping program.
About 30 kids ventured out to Barnes & Noble at both the Prudential Building in Boston and in Burlington to wrap presents for busy shoppers. In return, shoppers offered a donation for the work.
“They worked really hard and had a lot of fun,” said Shawna Dias, manager of Youth Programs. “It was nice to see people stop and support them.”
