Volunteering in the wake of tragedy

The Boston Marathon tragedy has sparked all sorts of kindness in people.

People have looked to donate goods, support relief efforts and even offer up therapy dogs to help keep Red Crossers going. People have also been inspired to become volunteers themselves.

In the past two weeks, 474 people have signed up to become a Red Cross volunteer, and we couldn’t be happier about it. We are so grateful for our volunteers – and for those who want to volunteer with us. We can’t help people without people like you.
