Comfort kits given out to residents in a time of need

American Red Cross comfort kits contain personal hygiene items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deoderant, etc, given to clients who have been displaced from their homes. When a disaster strikes, people don’t think to grab everyday essentials like these, so comfort kits are often cherished the most by those who are left homeless.

After the fire this past weekend in Lowell, a total of 50 comfort kits – averaging $2.43 each – were given out to residents in need as of 5 p.m. yesterday.

See? Even the smallest donation can help out the American Red Cross’ mission in a big way. Want to help out? Call 1-800-REDCROSS.
