Sport some dots, support a vaccination

As a group of youth volunteers washed cars for disaster relief last weekend, it also helped spread the word on measles.

Led by the American Red Cross, the Measles Initiative has helped vaccinate more than 1 billion children since 2001, helping to reduce measles deaths by 74 percent.

In a push to vaccinate children of ten different villages around the globe, Youth Programs is trying to raise $5,000 by June by selling $1 measles pins. For every pin sold, a child receives a vaccination.

So, why not shell out a dollar for a life-saving cause? Contact Shawna.dias@redcross.org or click here for more information.
