Experienced development officer joins the American Red Cross

Meet Sarah McNeil, the new Manager of Foundation Relations for the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts.

A New England native, McNeil joins the American Red Cross from MDRC, one of the nations’ leading social and education policy research organizations based in New York City. Created by the Ford Foundation and several federal agencies, MDRC designs and evaluates promising interventions aimed at improving the well-being of low income individuals and families across the country.

McNeil spent the last five years as a key member of MDRC’s program and financial development team, managing its private grants. In addition to serving as Grants Manager, McNeil also worked on several of the organization’s research and demonstration projects. Most recently, she served as an operations lead on a youth-focused grant supported by the Social Innovation Fund, one of President Obama’s signature anti-poverty initiatives. The project centers on programs that help low-income youth transition into adulthood.

McNeil joins the American Red Cross pleased to be part of the financial development team and looks forward to developing relationships with supporters and other local constituents.
