The Latest on Sandy

Infographic Dec.11Almost two months have passed since Hurricane Sandy swept through the east coast turning thousands of peoples lives upside down. Red Cross volunteers are still hard at work picking up the pieces and have made significant progress in restoring normalcy in the affected states. Over 1,800 Red Crossers have been tirelessly working around the clock supporting shelters, providing food and water at fixed sites and distributing meals and supplies directly to neighborhoods throughout the disturbed areas.

The Red Cross has provided more than 81,000 overnight stays for those left without a place to call home, served over 8.7 million meals and snacks and provided more than 98,000 health and mental health contacts. Over 15,600 workers and volunteers invested their time and effort into hurricane relief.

We are still in the emergency stage with Hurricane Sandy. Continued support and donations to help our efforts are greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU RED CROSSERS!! Keep up the great work!
