There’s a lot of pressure on New Years Eve. Everyone wants to know – how will you ring it in? Will you host a bash, go out to dinner, stay low, or go out to a big party? The questions seem endless, and can result in quite a bit of end-of–year stress.
But, don’t fret too much. The American Red Cross has some simple tips to help reduce your holiday anxiety:
- Get plenty of rest. With so much to do, it may be difficult to have enough time to rest or get adequate sleep. Giving your body and mind a break can boost your ability to cope with the stress you may be experiencing.
- Set priorities. Tackle that to-do list in small steps.
- Be patient with yourself and those around you.
- Stay connected with family and friends. Everyone is in it together, so ask for help if you need it and help them if you can.
