Our very own Paula Farrales was recently recognized by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women as one of 83 Unsung Heroines from around the state, confirming what we already knew about the longtime Red Cross volunteer.

Unsung Heroines are women who dedicate themselves to enriching their communities. Paula, a Taunton resident, has served her community and others significantly as a volunteer: she’s deployed to disaster-stricken states, and gone to fires in the middle of the night to help displaced residents.

“I was so thrilled,” she said of the recognition. “I was thrilled for the Red Cross.”

Congratulations, Paula. You deserve it!
