Eastern Mass disaster chief to host webinar on Boston Marathon response

With the Boston Marathon bombings still fresh on our minds and heavy on our hearts, it is important to take time to reflect on the incident and understand how emergency teams responded.

If you are interested in learning about how the events unfolded and the management techniques that enabled the Red Cross and its volunteers to maximize its resources with the response, then you’re in luck.  On Wednesday, June 12, from 1:30pm-2:30pm Leighton Jones, Regional Emergency Services Director for the Eastern Massachusetts American Red Cross, will be speaking in a webinar about disaster management and volunteerism in regards to the Boston Marathon bombings.

The webinar is part of Preparedness Partners, a series that covers a variety of preparedness and response topics.
