Ashley Studley Goes West

As you may or may not know, Ashley Studley, our Communications Manager here at Cambridge Headquarters, was deployed to Arizona Sunday morning.  She is managing disaster public affairs while Red Cross workers help the residents of Yarnell and the surrounding communities recover from the devastating fires that tore through Arizona last week.

According to today’s report by the American Red Cross, 351 people affected by the fires stayed at least one night in the two Red Cross shelters during the evacuations.  A Red Cross recovery center was opened at the Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church on Monday morning offering assistance to residents in dealing with insurance companies, as well as providing cleaning supplies, food and water.

While it will be hard for all of us at the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts to carry on without Ashley’s quick and attentive work ethic and her positive attitude, we know her time is better served helping those who are most in need right now.

If you would like to support our efforts, donations can be made by visiting redcross.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS. People can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
